ECLATEC, performance and quality to last

ECLATEC has a rich 80-year history, marked by the following stages :

1927

  • L'ECLAIRAGE TECHNIQUE created in Nancy by Hubert Adam. ECLATEC's initial vocation was the study and manufacturing of lighting equipment.

1954

  • Creation of an export department and a foreign network, including two agencies in Algiers and Casablanca.

1957

  • Construction of a modern physical, photometric and mechanical research laboratory with a darkroom unique in France at that time. ECLATEC also proposed stainless steel poles and brackets at that date and became the first ìassemblerî in the market.

1961

  • Creation of an experimental 200 meters road, as an essential complement to the existing laboratory. At that date, ECLATEC also designed and proposed mobile crown poles for large spaces.

1963

  • Construction of the new factory at Maxéville. Multiplication of national contracts (motorways, priority development areas, industry...).

1966

  • ECLATEC obtained the GRAND PRIX DES OSCARS DE L'EXPORTATION award in the Engineering and services category.

1970

  • The company pursued its expansion in France and abroad : 11 countries sold the ECLATEC brand. Over 50% of the Nancy production was distributed in over 80 countries.

1975

  • ECLATEC obtained the GRAND PRIX des OSCARS DE L'EXPORTATION award for EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE.

1982

  • ECLATEC and its AUSTRALE product were rewarded with the industry JANUS.

1984

  • ECLATEC became a French company again.

1985

  • ECLATEC and its LUSTRA product were rewarded with the industry JANUS.

1989

  • Inauguration of the new laboratory on the Maxéville production site.
  • Start of collaboration with Jean-Michel Wilmotte (town of Agde) via the ROCHELONGUE and LUNA products.

1991

  • Collaboration with Jean-Michel WILMOTTE and the town of Lyon. Development of the ARCHITEK, REFLEX, DUPLEX lighting fittings.

1998

  • ECLATEC and its CLIP product, designed by M. AUREL, were rewarded with the industry JANUS. ECLATEC positioned itself as a forerunner in the market of beacons by developing the ALEX product with the designer J. NISSOU.

2004

  • Development of LED lighting fitting systems and autonomous lighting solutions.

2005

  • Merger between GHM and ECLATEC. Formation of a major French street lighting group offering a complete range of lighting equipment (poles, brackets and lanterns) and street furniture.
